香港のナイトクラブで演奏していたところを加山雄三の妹夫婦の目にとまりスカウト
『パシフィックホテル茅ヶ崎』内のレストラン『一閣』の専属バンドとして来日。
という事で和モノ枠。
ディスコティックとありますが質感、ニュアンスは完全にサイケデリック・ヘヴィロックです！
ディスコでは無い。
同時期の日本のグループで言うならばフライドエッグ みたいな。

あまり見かけない作品です。

This band was formed in Manila, Philippines in 1963. They were performing at a nightclub in Hong Kong when they were noticed by Yuzo Kayama's sister and her husband, who scouted them. They came to Japan as the exclusive band for the restaurant "Ikkaku" in the Pacific Hotel Chigasaki. Although it's called "disco", the texture and nuance are completely psychedelic heavy rock! Among them, the dope beat covers of Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze" and Vanilla Fudge's "Keep Me Hanging On" and the psychedelic cover of Bobby Hebb's "Sonny" are the best! It's a rare work.
